About
Hey, hey! I’m Alison — but you can call me Aly.
I’m a software engineer, caffeine enthusiast, and occasional wearer of mismatched socks. When I’m not diving headfirst into lines of code, you can probably find me trying to convince my cat that she really does want to learn JavaScript (spoiler alert: she’s still not convinced).
This blog is my personal sandbox where I document that process—whether I’m untangling a complex algorithm, sketching out architectural blueprints, or just sharing a tutorial on something that finally “clicked” for me.
Beyond the syntax, I’m interested in the human side of dev life: the messy trial-and-error, the lessons learned from things that went sideways, and the challenge of staying creative in the age of AI.
Welcome to my stream of consciousness (and occasionally, my code).
